Karim Benzema fined by Police

French International and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has been fined by police after being caught racing Ibiza's city center. Benzema was involved in a race that comprised of a Porsche, Ferrari and a Lamborghini.Police would not confirm which car was being driven by Benzema.

They did however confirm that the player had not been drinking behind the wheel. He was fined $350, which he paid on the spot.

Real Madrid will surely sanction Benzema, possibly with a larger fine. But this incident just proves to be another example of how players can bring about a bad reputation for the game they apparantly "love so much". Funnily enough this isn't the first incident of a Madrid player making a fool of themselves. Marcelo sending an email to his coach which resulted in his axing from the Brazilian national team.
